another day at work..

here i am.. another day at work.. recently have been thinking.. we only live each day once, if we didn't live it happily, wouldn't it go to waste? we can nv go back in time to turn it around, to make different decisions we regretted not making, to do things differently and so on.

but most of us are stuck in this so-called Rat race, where each day u have to go out and work your life out in order to exchange for things such as money, house, status, or simply to live comfortably in this high costs of living era (tho compared to places such as Britain and USA, we are not that high already..). Why can't we just do what we want every day? If I were to die tomorrow, am I going to look back and say "I'm so glad i work like shit every single day of my life and earn a salary of $xxxx every month."?

If you were to die tomorrow, are you going to look back and feel glad about what u are doing now?

Lots of times we say, we are working hard now for a better future. But who is to say what the future holds? We just want some security about the future, that is the reason for our actions. Insecurities. They banked on our insecurities and used it to drive their own goals.

I think if you are living out your goals, if the work u are doing gives you satisfaction or if you are simply happy doing it, then you can safely look back n say u have no regrets. And so this is what I shall be working towards instead. I've been wrong since I put out my first step into the working society, but it's not too late, i hope!
