last sat, i went to the Night Safari with my sis n cm~!! it was so exciting~!! haha... there were lots of tourists and locals as well.. very crowded! at first i was a bit scared.. cuz i'm afraid of dark! and i've got night blindness too.. hate darkness totally.. but when i saw so many ppl, i immediately got all excited and anxious to start exploring..

luckily my sis has some discount from somewhere.. so we paid $21 for entrance fee plus tram ride.. not bad la..

the trip was quite exciting! saw a lot of animals.. and there's this funny animal (i think called tapir) which is half black and half white.. it was just sleeping by the roadside as the tram goes pass like a big fat dead animal.. well. i tot we were supposed to see them in action?? in the end.. all i saw was inaction instead.. a lot of the animals were just sleeping!! T_T

but still, we saw some which were very very active.. there's the pretty leopard with its thick furry coat and padded paws.. we saw it really up close, juz separated by a glass panel. so cool!! too bad we didnt take any photos of it cuz it was too dark and we were not allowed to use flash..

and then we went into the enclosure area with lots of bats.. dat part was way too much excitement for me.. i was so afraid of them flying into me!! didn't really dare to look up and whenever i hear flapping wings i screamed. even cm got a small fright when one of them zoomed past his ear. LOL.. it was so funny.. i think the ppl there must have been thinking "crazy locals.." when we rushed out, half squatted and laughing incontrollably.

we almost missed the animal show!! or we thot so la.. in the end, we even got seats at the front.. the animals were all so cute! altho i find it too short.. wanna see more of it! they got this weasel ( i think) to throw rubbish into recycling bins.. it was supposed to separate the rubbish into "paper", "plastic" and "metal", but halfway through it threw all into the bin for plastic.. it only wanted to get through the show quickly and have its treat.. lol.. then there was this pretty white owl which flew from one side to another on command.. really cool.. and there's this bear looking animal with long and strong tail like a monkey.. very very furry and cute!!! but dunno wad is it called. haha..

Finally! The secret mission i had been planning for mths had been successfully carried out! My sis's 21st bday party~!!

I loved attending parties, but my sis is too lazy to do one for her 21st bday.. so i tot.. why not do a surprise one for her?!

the more i thot abt it, the more excited i became.. so i started checking out the chalets in sg.. trying to find one good one.. i could book cheaper ones at changi as i'm a civil servant but those chalets look damn eerie.. the last time i went with the co group, i was so scared!! and it's not very accessible.. so i decided to go downtown east instead.. haha...

and then came the difficult part of locating all her frens.. pri sch, sec sch, jc and uni.. how to find so many frens?? i started logging in secretly into her msn (oops) and her facebook.. i peeped at her handphone to search for her frens' hp number.. and i started sending weird emails to her frens with headings like "Secret mission" etc etc.. LOLZ..

but it wasnt as easy as i had expected.. the day itself, i was so tired from all the rushing.. rushing to check in, check out the tables ard the chalet, tried to decorate the place.. no tables and in the end cm had to rush back home to get one.. went to fetch relatives in.. rush to get food from papa.. etc etc etc.. i was really very very tired.. even got painful muscle aches from carrying all those stuff.. but it was a success! well.. maybe not very fantastic.. but quite fun =p

well i didnt take many photos dat night.. too tired and i really looked sweaty and haggard after all the running and worrying (that things might go wrong).. but really wanna thank all her frens who were so cooperative.. and my papa who prepared the food.. most of all.. really grateful to have cm with me.. he's the one who sweat the most, until like he jumped into the pool lidat.. he got the worst muscle ache cuz he carried the heaviest stuff (like 10kg of drinks on each hand.. crazy!!) and whenever i imagined something going terribly wrong he would cheer me up and reassure me that he would help me to solve any problems that would happen..
so there! i have done wad i wanted! held a surprise party for my lil sis! (altho she seemed to have guessed a bit when her frens insisted her going to the chalet on the reason that they need to get homework from a fren who was inside the chalet.. if i were her, i would say i'd wait outside cuz need to pay $1 to go in!! haha i am cheapskate.) and i think everybody had fun!!! =)

have always wanted to try this little restaurant at the corner in the Central at clarke quay.. cuz it looked so cosy n pretty from the outside..! it's a jap restaurant selling western food. last time me n val wanted to go in, we were told to wait for one hour! and it was already 8pm! ytd ended work at 5pm still early so ask cm to go there wif me.. not only was there no queue, the shop wasnt even open yet -_-

Very sad can.. the whole place was filled with nice seats with nice view of the sg river downstairs.. and i was seated at the ultra boring zzz-ing corner... the most interesting was the retro poster behind me.. and cm tried to take the most delightful photo he could (by taking it from a weird angle.. lol)
the place is decorated like a small pub and has a retro feel.. wanted to take a photo of cm with the background and he had to give me this look. apparently it has gotten to his head that he will look slimmer from his side view.. haha.. wadever feel from the shop's deco oso gone liao.. lolz

omu rice with beef stroganov (or smthg lidat..).. this was wad he ordered.. it's very nice actually, but my sis says it looks like vomit.. -___-
this was wad i had.. a beef patty with some ginger pork at the top.. not bad too..
the couple behind us ordered a lot!! they had a soup each, den a big salad, den the escargots, den smthg else i couldn't rem.. den the girl had omu rice and the guy a big plate of spagette.. and i heard them saying "the food serving here is very small one.." @_@ actually is quite big lo..!

i guess i felt better knowing there are greedier and fatter couples out there. hahaha!!

Yeay i watched W A L L . E ~~!!!!

today took a day off and watch WALL.E wif cm~ finally it's out~ i loved the movie.. very very cute characters.. and the story was oh sho shuueeet... ^_^ the graphics were all very pretty too! we went to The Cathy as they are showing it in the grand cathay.. the big big theatre over there..the graphics very pretty and then the screen so big.. damn shiok..! lolz.. after the movie we went to eat at Auston's as cm wanted to try.. it's not bad.. and quite cheap!!! some of the meals were going for like $6.50 and you even get 2 side dishes! like a grilled chicken with potato salad and onion rings for juz $6.50.. really good deal hor? and their choice of side dishes is really a wide variety lo..
cm ordered a black pepper steak.. tastes quite good to me.. cm says it's "very shiok". eaten halfway liao and i decided to take a picture.. it's only $11.90 i think.. which is quite cheap for steak (altho it's not very big piece oso la..)
i got the chargrilled chicken and sausages combo. $10.90.. not bad lo.. i couldnt even finish the whole plate.. what surprised us was.... no service charge, and the GST is already included in the price.. so if the menu says $14.90, then you pay exactly $14.90. makes me feel better even tho actually we still paid gst. haha..

2 weeks back the ai gals met up to celeb huijie's bday.. she recommended this indian vegeterian restaurant at Suntec called the Bombay Cafe Xpress (i think).. i saw the place b4 but i always found the deco ridiculous.. it has bright pink colours with some black walls.. and bollywood posters and mtvs on the walls.. man really quite weird.. so we all went in quite apprehensively (except for huijie.. she went a few times liao) but the food turned out not bad and we all enjoyed ourselves.. it was rather funny as we all didnt understand wad we were ordering.. when the waiter rattled off a few types of dhal (some kind of bread), i juz gave him a confused look and said "erm.. the first one".. i freaking had no idea wad he said! haha..

here's the food.. bread with dozens of sauces.. they were not as spicy as i thot.. mabe strong taste of herbs and stuff, but not spicy.. not too salty or oily either.. unlike wad i thot of indian food generally. =) quite good actually..!

another nice food dat cm brought me to eat.. prata at casuarina.. i guess everybody's been there b4.. i've been there once or twice too. but seldom cuz it's quite out of the way and u gotta drive to get there.. got a sudden craving for it so we both went there for breakfast..

and while we were eating we were watching some drama outside.. a suzuki swift got crashed by a toyota or smthg and the honest culprit waited and even went ard the stalls asking who's the owner of the suzuki.. i was thinking "wah seh.. if the owner nv see, why dun faster siam?" and then i felt ashamed of myself.. how can i lidat?! muz be honest like dat uncle!! =p

anyway, now u know why i am getting fatter n fatter!!! we do nothing but eat everyday!
